The reality
Instead of having a funding formula that adequately meets all the needs of First Nations schools of Quebec, these schools must contend with a federally developed funding distribution method for education.
Financial needs
To mitigate the many shortcomings of this method, the FNEC has been developing a funding formula for First Nations with its member communities since 2007. Our approach represents the final achievement of years of hard work to identify and determine the real financial needs of our students and our school administrators.
