Fibre Optic
Connectivity
In 2007, the FNEC conducted a study on connectivity in First Nations communities of Quebec and Labrador. The analysis clearly pointed out that the installation of fibre optic in the communities deprived of this resource was the best option to meet connectivity needs.
Installation
To date, the FNEC has deployed some twenty community networks. It is working to expand fibre-optic networks to meet the needs of member communities that require more connectivity infrastructure to serve the entire public sector.
